This was my New Patient appt with Dr. Ryan Buffington. It was amazing! He seemed to know me already, he was warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. I felt understood and knew he was sure what will be the best course of action for my treatment to resolve my biggest struggles. And i was so comforted by his demeanor, professionalism, and confidence. The staff was friendly, sweet and made me feel so welcomed. I believe they are God sent to me. All of my medical maintenance will be managed from Thyroid, Cholesteral, to mood challenges. I look forward to meeting the rest of the medical staff for my physical. I have never had a medical team in my PCP' s office that could take care of my physical and emotional needs. My retiring womens health physician whom i have known for over 40 years recommended Dr. Buffington. And I am so thankful it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you to this wonderful medical team.

After bouncing around from doctor to doctor for years, I finally found someone who truly cares about my well being. Growing up, movies always portrayed doctors who served a family generationally. I never understood why anyone would stay with one doctor their entire life, until I met Dr. Buffington. At Dr. Buffington’s office I am more than just a number, more than just an insurance claim. Dr. Buffington cares about his patients, he treats us like family and he does everything he can to meet our needs. If you are looking for a doctor for your family, that you can trust, Dr Buffington is for you.

Rarely do you find an HCP who listens so well and offers thoughtful feedback and advice. Over the past 10 years, I've lost trust in my PCPs due to the lack of quality of care, feeling like a number in a bigger org, being nickel and dimed in order to even speak to medical concerns (being charged for office visits instead of annual exams if you so much as voice symptoms of anything or any concerns), and this is the first time that I'm truly heard and trusted by my primary doctor, which has earned my trust right back. Not only is Dr. Buffington kind and compassionate, his front office is equally helpful and responsive. 10/10 recommend Buffington Family Medicine!

I was/am very pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in toting my two toddlers to the moment I returned for my left behind water jug. Very professional and very patient staff. I was able to take my time and give a fairly thorough health history background and felt like I was a part of the decision making process for tackling my health concerns. Together we found solutions that make sense and add value to my life without drastic changes that are impossible to comply with. I look forward to making Buffington my primary care home and to working with them in the future. Thank you for your care and understanding of what it's like to be in my shoes and trust that I want to do what's best to live happy and healthy.

Dr Buffington was highly recommended and I’m so glad I chose his practice. When I walked into the office the 2 ladies in the front welcomed me with positive attitudes & seemed as if they actually cared about how I was doing. The entire office is very welcoming & comfortable while waiting. Dr Buffington was amazing. He listened to everything I had to say & was very patient with me. He was very open to making sure I understood & I was okay with the treatment plan he had in mind.

I was recommended to this office, as I have been living in the area for over 21 years, but still had my primary care physician in Dallas. This office came highly recommended. From the moment I walked in today, to the moment I left, I was treated like family. Ryan and his medical staff have it going on! I look forward to many years of having them as my go to doc! After a year of being a patient here, I am still overwhelmed on how wonderful and caring this clinic is. Any time one sees a new physician for the first time, it's easy to feel a little nervous. Dr Ty Talley makes you feel comfortable and is easy to talk to. He is genuinely interested and listens well to you. As I stated before, I would highly recommend Buffington Family Medicine and Ty Talley, PA-C.

I drive over an hour there and drive an hour back to see Dr B. I am 63 years old and I have never had a Dr that truly listens to me. He does not discount things that I say. He addresses all of my concerns. The staff is always helpful and cheerful as well. My husband was so impressed with Dr B. that he now sees him too. We have a very high level of trust in his care.

A friend of mine has been referring me to Dr. Buffington for over a year and I kept putting it off. I am so glad I finally listened to her. I finally feel like I am in the hands of a capable PCP. He took the time to listen to all my concerns and addressed them each individually. I felt like he was genuinely concerned about my well being and wants to ensure I have the best care possible.

I have gone to Ryan Buffington for many years now and have always appreciated his willingness to listen and not rush through an appointment to get to the next person. My daughter will not go to anyone else even though she is in school in Florida now. She will fly home if she needs to see a Dr.

I have struggled with ADHD and the associated anxiety and depression for the last 27 years. I've been given different medications at different times and seen different doctors but none of them seemed to really want to find the best plan. They would throw a new prescription my way and that was it. Dr. Buffington sat and listened to my struggles and concerns. He made me feel like it was going to be okay and be was going to fix it. He did. For the first time in almost 30 years I feel amazing...I feel level...I feel "normal". Everyone notices it immediately. I cannot thank Dr. Buffington enough for caring, listening, and formulating a plan designed for me based on what I was experiencing. I refer everyone to him.

I have been a patient for years. Although I have only seen Dr. Buffington once, he’s incredible. The first doctor I’ve ever had who took a (surprising) amount of time with me to understand who I am and my health goals. Impression at first sight, and I’ve been a patient for years since with his PAs, who are also sweet, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about my well-being in more ways than one. I can’t sing enough praises for this practice. Top notch, bar none. Even if I move away from the area, I will keep coming back as a patient for life. Honestly cannot imagine finding another doctor or support staff like this group. Trust me when I say, you will not regret becoming a patient at Dr. Buffington’s practice. They’ve helped me in numerous ways - more than I can write here. Wonderful people and top-notch thoughtfulness, care, and flexibility. My expectations have been exceeded by Dr. Buffington (and his staff), which is particularly meaningful for me personally as I was originally very nervous about making the appointment. I saw Dr. Buffington for the first time in order to treat a mental health issue that has plagued me since early childhood. Within the first month of having set an appointment with him, I was properly assessed, listened to, empathized with, and prescribed a medication that not only works but has been genuinely life-changing. He's been intentional about titration and monitoring dosage, and I felt that the provider trusted my experience as a client while simultaneously having a clear knowledge of the medical field. His competency in psychiatric care (and his referencing of recent studies) was encouraging coming from a clinic and medical professional who isn't specializing in psychiatry. I was worried about getting treated because of typical concerns: taking medication (especially for the first time), being judged or treated pretentiously, not being diagnosed correctly, being brushed off, being rushed, not being heard-- most of which is an unfortunately common occurrence, even in my own community, regarding psychiatric concerns. I could not have been happier with my experience, and I hope the field continues to move in this direction overall-- minimizing mental health stigmas, respecting the competency of clients, avoiding condescension, practicing with well-informed professionalism, and genuinely empathizing. I also would like to add that Dr. Buffington was able, through clinical assessments, addressing family history, and discussing current and past symptoms in-depth, to recognize quickly that I've been struggling with a moderate to severe form of ADHD, primarily inattentive. As a generally responsible, quiet, adult woman this condition has been overlooked my entire life despite my knowing I was struggling with abnormal symptoms and life challenges. It is particularly difficult for adults (especially women who are not hyperactive) to be properly treated, resulting in years of unnecessary suffering, especially if your symptoms include depression and anxiety as mine does. Now that we are monitoring and addressing it, my quality of life has increased substantially. I can't express my appreciation enough, and I hope that anyone else struggling like I was is able to receive the same quality of care and ultimately reach the level of enjoyment of life I am finally at.
